The Australian Tax Office (ATO) has announced details of its 2017-18 BAS Agent lodgment program including lodgment and payment concessions when eligible quarterly business activity statements are lodged electronically, and a lodgment concession for PAYG.

The BAS agent lodgment program 2017–18 includes:
• lodgment and payment concessions when Agents electronically lodge eligible quarterly activity statements
• a lodgment concession for pay as you go (PAYG) withholding payment summary annual reports (not the closely held concession).

The ATO said, “To ensure your clients receive the full lodgment program concessions, you should lodge activity statements (December monthly, and all quarterly activity statements) using one of the following:
• BAS Agent Portal
• Practitioner lodgment service (PLS)
• Electronic commerce interface (ECI)
Concessional lodgment dates are outlined in the link below.

The ATO said the lodgment program due dates for quarterly activity statements (and December monthly) do not show on BAS Agent’s client lists. The concessional due date for these activity statements will be automatically updated online after Agents have lodged their clients’ activity statements electronically.
