Chisholm Institute of TAFE

Chisholm Institute of TAFE is one of the largest providers of vocational education in Victoria. At any time there are up to 40,000 people developing skills at six Chisholm locations in the south east of Melbourne – including over a thousand a year from overseas countries. Flexible courses range from Foundation skills through to graduate qualifications.

Chisholm is honoured to be working in conjunction with the Association of Accounting Technicians Australia to offer two courses: Certificate IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping) or the Certificate IV in Financial Services (Accounting)

Either of these courses will allow bookkeepers and accounting technicians to gain the necessary qualifications to practice as a bookkeeper and BAS agent, in accordance with Federal legislation. Students will be engaged in the flexible learning process by having access to tutors via telephone and e-mail, and they will have the ability to interact with fellow learners through contact lists and on-line workshops.

A skills gap process can also be used to shorten the study period whereby learners can be assessed for competencies based on prior learning and/or relevant work experience.
